Chronology of cameras Minolta
The classification used here is adapted from those of Wolfgang Huller and Andrea Apra ', which is serving as the basis for data from the Minolta Manual Focus Collector's Society.
From 1956, new modifications are made to the Minolta 35 Model II (type b1). The most visible is the accessory shoe: two small spring-loaded balls are inserted on the rivets, between the fixing screws, a way to secure the accessory. A same system will be installed on the 35 IIB two years later.
Another point is noticeable when opening the back: the film guiding rails , which until now were merely stamped into the sheet constituting the viewing window, are now accurately ground, ensuring a more rigorous positioning of the film plane.
The last change is much less visible: the venerable 2.8 / 45 is no longer proposed as a standard! Only the excellent 2.8 / 5 cm and 2.0 / 5 cm remain, but we probably do not lose at this change. The viewfinder window is therefore systematically designed to frame the field corresponding to a 50 mm.
